We estimated the cost of the same concert trip in 25 major US cities. Each total represents one person and uses the same standard scenario in every location.
City selection and standard trip
The 25-city sample represents major metropolitan concert markets and established arena or stadium destinations across the US. Each ranking total includes one major-tour ticket with fees, one mid-range hotel room for one night, food and drinks, local transportation, a 200-mile round trip by car (100 miles each way), and one concert T-shirt.
Artist merchandise comparison
We selected 15 artists associated with some of 2025’s highest-profile tours, the latest full calendar year of touring coverage. Artists were included where comparable merchandise categories could be modeled. The bundle includes one T-shirt, one hoodie, and one collectible.
Sources and assumptions
Public ticket-price reporting from Pollstar and CNBC Select informed the ticket-price guardrails. Driving uses the 2026 IRS rate of $0.76 per mile, making the standard 200-mile round trip $152. Hotel, food, local transportation, and merchandise values are consistent modeled assumptions rather than live quotes. Totals are per person, although the model assigns the full cost of one hotel room to that person. Taxes, parking, tolls, airfare, and merchandise shipping are excluded. Figures are modeled estimates, not live prices or observed fan spending, and may differ by artist, venue, date, booking window, travel method, and individual spending choices.
